Effects of minerals on metamorphism of organic matter during thermal processes in meteorite parent bodies

چکیده
Molecular structures and chemical compositions of organic matter in primitive meteorites reflect the conditions parent bodies, as well preaccretional history. During body processing, co-existing minerals could have effects on structural changes organics, addition to temperature redox state. Here, we performed heating experiments a primordial analog with without understand simulating metamorphism thermally metamorphosed type 3 chondrites. The materials were heated up 400 °C, experimental products analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Montmorillonite olivine, particularly montmorillonite, enhanced decomposition oxygen containing species due decarboxylation and/or cracking, while olivine esterification at lower temperature. Our results further imply that variations insoluble CV, CO, ordinary chondrites be partially different mineral compositions. We also tested pressure degradation °C 268 atm, however no significant observed by FTIR GC/MS. • evaluate for molecular during thermal metamorphism. carbonyl compounds. Olivine No atm.

Ar-ar Dating of Thermal Events on Meteorite Parent Bodies
Parent bodies of meteorites have experienced a variety of thermal events caused by early internal metamorphism and impact heating. Among radiometric chronometers, the 39 Ar-40 Ar technique is particularly sensitive to such thermal events. For over two decades the JSC laboratory has acquired 39 Ar-40 Ar data on a wide variety of meteorite types. The purpose here is to summarize some JSC data (an...
